My review didnt come up. Group of 11. Friendly staff. Menu good for age range 9-77. Meal enjoyed by all. Not long to wait. Reviewed before. Surprised at only 3.7 rating. Booking again for 6 on Friday evening.
Hit and miss. The food is usually good honest pub grub, no complaints there. The service can sometimes be very lacking.
Very hard to review this one, when for evening meal & had rib of beef, very nice with a great red wine gravy, then went for breakfast this morning & not good at all, first cooked breakfast served on a cold plate, sausages tasted like veggie ones & think they were frozen & then microwaved as still very cold in middle, bubble n squeak think from frozen just weird taste, mushrooms like they had been recooked 3 or 4 time just tiny shrivelled black ones. Baked beans cold as cold plate, but scrambled egg ok was cooked well but again cold plate so went cold very quickly, most of the pastries seemed few days old & finally as with most PI the toasters never work properly & have to put your toast through twice, which ends with burnt toast.
A very nice pub, tables not too close, and is cosy. Food very reasonably priced, and very well cooked and presented. Free parking, outdoor dining in good weather. Good selection of wines and beers.
Staff very friendly and helpful. 3 from our party ordered pork belly, 2 perfect but one was all fat. Sent back and had to wait ages for another one to arrive. Service was quite slow and restaurant not overly busy.
