I have used East Grinstead Tyre Service several times now, (ive lived in lingfield for 21 years) and felt compelled to write a review after today's visit. Andrew has always helped me with my "dodgy wheel" caused by hitting too many pot holes in and around Lingfield and East Grinstead, but the real star of the show is Andrews Mum, Avril, she is just the most amazing person, she is in her 80's and she still works every day at this wonderful Tyre place. Avril told me today about her Father and Mother who opened up the Business I think it was in the 40's ... how they survived the World War, and recessions, she had so many wonderful memories, taking over the family Business with her adorable (and quite dishy husband, who was also an amazing man, Lawrence, and then Andrew, her son runs the Business. It is with much greatfulllness that Avril took the time today to tell me about her past and the background of this absolutely wonderful business that was made into the fantastic place it is today, by her whole Family, something that in this day and age is practically extinct !!.The staff are just brilliant, nothing is too much trouble, every time I have been there, and the lovely man who helped me today (sorry I didn't get his name) but he even saw another of my tyres was a little on the flat side, so he filled it with air in a jiffy. (Something I didn't even notice, and he did! So thank you) The cost, each time I have been is just a small token, really, i was charged a sultry 6 for the most comprehensive service given to me today, it was unreal, anywhere else would just have ripped me off and tried to sell me a new wheel !! But I just had a small repair, and a thorough inspection by the most kindest man today. I will be shouting their praise from the roof tops, this is the BEST tyre shop I have EVER used. If only all shops had lovely staff like East Grinstead Tyre Service, and had an AVRIL in every business, the world would be a far better place.Thank you once again, to all of you, and thank you Avril for the most wonderful insight today in to East Grinstead Tyre Service's history, and simply, for you being you xxA loyal customer Lorna Hall(Lingfield)
I popped in this morning on the off chance that they could help as there were loads of lights on my dash board informing me that my tyre pressures were low. Not only did the garage assist me free of charge, they were informative, courteous and offered advice as to things to look out for in future. They also removed a tack from the tyre - again, no charge. Definitely worth a visit and they will get my service again.
The service is excellent. The mechanics are very accommodating and trustworthy.Very competitive prices. Can't recommend them enough.
